<p align="left"><b>To set up an ESC:<br>
</b>1. If you are using a computer radio, confirm that none of the Tx settings
are different than usual. Make sure the aircraft is restrained and prop arc
is unrestricted during this procedure.<br>
2. Turn on the Tx with throttle in off position, then turn on the Rx. Wait
at least two seconds and then smoothly move throttle to full speed. <br>
3. Wait at least two seconds and then bring the throttle slowly back to the
off position (the motor may start). Switch off the Rx and then Tx.<br>
4. If motor operation is satisfactory, set up is complete.<br>
5. If the motor didn't respond or started suddenly during step 3, reverse
the throttle function on the Tx and repeat the above steps.</p>
<p align="left">Always make sure the throttle stick is in the off position before
you turn anything on. Otherwise, the processor may not initialize.</p>
<p align="left"><b>Additional tips</b><br>
If the ESC still does not respond, move the throttle trim to the lowest position
and try the initialization process again. If that doesn't work, substitute
a known good ESC to isolate the problem. </p>
<p align="left">Programmable Tx: The throttle function must be adjusted to the
default setting (+/-100%) and the servo center must be in neutral position.</p>
<p align="left">Place the ESC in the propwash because current rating depends
on cooling. Overheating may be caused by excessive BEC current. Make sure
all servos, control linkages and hinges are friction-free.</p>
<p align="left">When using a 3-cell Li-poly battery, it's important to use a
high frequency (>60kHz) ESC.</p>
