</FONT><P>1. Scuff the top of the cell tabs with sandpaper and apply a drop of liquid rosin solder paste. Tin the top of the tabs. The negative tab is nickel and solders easily. The positive tab is aluminum with a nickel tab welded to it.  The top of the positive tab (nickel side) is solderable. Wipe away the remaining rosin with acetone (dope thinner).</P>

</FONT><P>2. Solder cell leads to tabs. <BR>
Red lead to positive.<BR>
Black lead to negative<FONT SIZE=2>.</P>

</FONT><P>3. Apply tape (12mm x 20mm) to top of cell allowing a small overhang to touch the tabs. Mylar packing tape is ideal for this.</P>

</FONT><P>4. Fold cell tabs and leads over tape.</P>

</FONT><P>5. Apply a second piece of tape (20mm x 30mm) over top of leads and around end of cell and onto the bottom of the cell.</P>

<P>6. Attach connector of choice and your cell is ready for use.</P>
