<P>VARBL1 is a very light and high performance electronic speed controller for
micro brushless motors up to 12g category.</P><U>

double the weight.<BR>Power supply : 1 Li-poly<BR>No BEC<BR>Frequency: 12
kHz<BR>Maximum current: 2A<BR>Voltage stability control
integrated.<BR>Maximum current: optional, disabled by default.<BR>Timing
advance optimization.<BR>Zero throttle test.<BR>Autocalibration (disabled by
default)<BR>Configuration selector.<BR>Li-poly low voltage test with motor cut
off.<BR>Soft start.</P><U>
<P>Starting with VARBL1 :</P></U>

<P>A,B,C : the 3 motor phases<BR>Programming pads : don�t solder
anything here.</P>

<P>First turn the transmitter ON. Then connect the VARBL1. If throttle not low,
it will not start.</P>
<P>Beeps mean: configuration selected, signal received and ready to start. One
beep for config. #1, two beeps for config. #2 and so on. Configuration # may be
selected by a micro potentiometer. Use jeweler�s screwdriver.</P>
<P>Starting procedure is ON if propeller is stopped, so you can put the throttle
very low for a short time and restart immediately without any delay if propeller
is turning.</P>
<P>If the motor starts wrong side, invert 2 phases. </P><U>
<P>Troubleshooting :</P>
<UL></U>
<LI>No beep : check power on, check receiver, lower throttle trim.
<LI>Stalled at full speed: first stop throttle immediately. May be possible on
some motors requiring a high timing advance. Change your configuration.
<LI>Don�t overload it with too powerful motor.
<LI>Irregular speed: change your configuration, verify wiring.
<LI>If motor whistles and propeller stalled, put the throttle low and restart.
<LI>Irregular running: 90% of problem are wiring (bad soldering or wire about
to break near soldering pads)</LI></UL><B><U>
<P>VARBL1 Configuration : </P></B></U>
<P>On 1.2 release or later, a screw micro potentiometer is soldered instead of
the DL1 diode.</P>
<P>The screw position allows 5 different configurations. One side of the screw
is flat, acting as a pointer. (here it points to config #3) Use jeweler�s
screwdriver.</P>

<P>Cfg1 PWM 50% timing advance low at starting</P><B><U>
<P>Low voltage cutoff:<BR></B></U>R25 resistor enable or disable if removed low
voltage test for Li-poly cells<BR>Critical voltages are: 3.2V for 1 Li-poly, 6V
for 2 and 9V for 3.<BR>Below critical voltage, motor stops. You have to arm the
