erlin-based media artist Dagmar Sch=C3=BCrrer.

Sch=C3=BCrrer often assembles found footage=2C digitally generated objects=
 and animations=2C text=2C drawings and sound to form intricate video mont=
ages=2C evocative of painting=2C collage and poetry. The works in Fragile=
 Ruptures are multi-layered compositions=2C combinations of text=2C moving=
 image=2C stills=2C abstract forms and experimentations on form=2C colour=
 and physics in digital realm.

The new collection presents three video works from Sch=C3=BCrrer's video s=
eries titled Fibers and a central piece Ideal Deficiency.
In Ideal Deficiency=2C Sch=C3=BCrrer looks at ruptures and interferences a=
nd contrasts machine-like perfectionism and slickness with the vulnerabili=
ty of the human body. In Fibers the artist examines the possibility of tra=
nsferring organic surfaces and structures into the digital realm.
