I am an artist creating work in moving video for digital canvases. I am cur=
rently based in Stratford upon Avon and although my work originates from al=
l over the world, for the past 10 years I have exclusively derived inspirat=
ion from architecture, countryside and landscapes of area around me. My wor=
k is all designed to be viewed on digital art frames such as the Meural Can=
vas, the Canvia Digital Art Canvas and the BOE iGallery. All my work loops =
seamlessly and continuous, giving the impression of a never-ending event.

The title "It Gets Lighter From Here" interests me very much. I had already=
started working on an idea that, although still unfinished, would fit your=
brief perfectly. The image exists as a triptych in three portrait panels o=
n a conventional landscape format digital screen. In each panel exists a di=
fferent season, from Winter to the viewer's left through Spring and then Su=
mmer in the right. An umbrella carrying actor takes the allotted minute to =
transition through the frames changing form in every frame. My work usually=
lasts for 5 minutes, so shortening the time leaves very little scope to co=
nvey the necessary feelings and emotions that would be needed to do the wor=
k justice.
