Made using a video glitch technique which paints in pixels over the screen=
=2C Matter & Light is a hybrid composition of images of seascapes=2C plant=
s=2C humans and animals=2C flowing together propelled by dream-logic. The=
work is inspired by the painter Turner and by French Impressionism=2C wit=
h most images filmed in Margate in the UK and at the Bay of the Somme in F=
rance.
Matter & Light deals with contemporary environmental issues affecting an o=
verflowing=2C falling-apart world=2C using low compression and self-produc=
ed imagery to achieve a melting painterly look echoing sustainability and=
poetry. The work experiments with making video art that continues ideas d=
eveloped in the field of painting. Painterly traditions are applied to mov=
ing digital form to reflect on the current world.
The soundtrack is Wrapped In Rain by Jes=C3=BAs Lastra and is provided by=
Jamendo.

lled by dream-logic. The work is inspired by the painter Turner and by Fre=
nch Impressionism=2C with most images filmed in Margate in the UK and at t=
he Bay of the Somme in France.</p> <p style=3D"font-size:inherit;margin:0=
0 24px;padding:0;"><em>Matter & Light</em> deals with contemporary en=
vironmental issues affecting an overflowing=2C falling-apart world=2C usin=
g low compression and self-produced imagery to achieve a melting painterly=
look echoing sustainability and poetry. The work experiments with making=
video art that continues ideas developed in the field of painting. Painte=
rly traditions are applied to moving digital form to reflect on the curren=
