energy to burn are signing up for boutique gyms and shunning the big-name
chains.
The private health and fitness club market is flying in the UK. One in seven
people in the UK

is now a member of a gym, and the fitness market was said to be worth £3.1bn
last year and expected to rise to £3.9bn by 2022, according to Mintel

Boutique studios, like cult indoor cycling chains SoulCycle in the US and
Psycle in London, are becoming more popular. Smaller than your typical gym,
they often specialise in one type of exercise and allow you to work out in
luxury surroundings. What makes these gyms unique is their price; while the
big chains might cost £50 to £100 a month for unlimited access, studios can
charge £20 for a single workout.
The secret to the success of these gyms? They build a sense of community

was one of the first boutique fitness studios in London when it launched in
2009. It has now expanded to four studios across the city with two more in
the pipeline. Founder, Pip Black puts the community aspect as a key reason
for growth, “Our members are known as ‘Framers’ and they identify with our
brand values incredibly well.” We believe in the power of the tribe at

consumer business.
This movement is not confined to London either. Kevin Yates, a former
operations director of London-based studio 1Rebel, started a HIIT (high
intensity interval training) boot camp called Trib3

in Sheffield on moving back to his home town in 2016.
He says it took a few months for people to be swayed. Since then the company

Spain and Finland.

demanding dietary requirements. Jack wrote this blog about how his brand
uses video to raise awareness and make sales. It's really good.
Here are a few tips we've picked out for you;
* Don’t worry about introducing yourself by name. This wastes precious time
and unless you have built your personal brand, no one really cares. Use a
lower-third title to introduce your name and title if you feel you need to.
* Start by stating a real problem or fact that your (potential) customers
will be experiencing. Back this up with evidence or statistics immediately.
* Introduce another statistic or fact that your customers will be able to
relate to. They will be more open to what you have to say once they know you
empathise with them.
* Strongly introduce your product name and brand. Cut to some sexy imagery
or macro shots of your product or service at this stage to show your product
off - this step should not last long at all.
* Refer back to the previous two facts/problems that you outlined prior to
introducing your product and explain how your product addresses and solves
both of these problems.
* Go on to give some more added value as to what your product delivers.
* Finish the video by giving the viewer a clear path of action to take. You
may have noticed how YouTube videos normally end with “Remember to like and
subscribe”, or Instagram with “Swipe up to find more”. This is because when
the video is finished, people subconsciously change their thinking process
from a passive intake of information to suddenly having to think about what
they’re going to do next. Make it easier for them and tell them what to do.
