Somnifacient Signals is a new artwork collection by Matthew Biederman and=
Pierce Warnecke comprising seven artworks. Those who purchase all seven w=

the current 2020 pandemic=2C many experiences generally witnessed in pers=

mnifacient Signals traverses the network=2C mining it as a medium=2C creat=
ing seven audiovisual impressions of seeing and hearing the world through=
a screen=2C two speakers and the world wide web.

ty video feeds of New York City=2C group Zoom meetings to chats=2C these p=
ieces take a trip through cyberspace using live streams and localized soun=
ds as source material in order to work out some sentiments experienced dur=

dding:0;">During the premiere deferred performance of the project for Gray=
Area=2C Warnecke and Biederman travelled while stationary=2C collecting a=
nd processing images=2C video=2C sounds and field-recordings found online=
=2C bouncing them back and forth between each other across continents whil=
e they waited and worked in confinement.</p>

;">From night-vision cameras in a South African game reserve to public sec=
urity video feeds of New York City=2C group Zoom meetings to chats=2C thes=
e pieces take a trip through cyberspace using live streams and localized s=
ounds as source material in order to work out some sentiments experienced=
during the COVID-19 pause.</p>
<p>Those who collect all seven works will also r=
eceive a full-length recording of the performance.</p>
