Explora III: My verdict.
I've just returned from four nights aboard Explora III and can honestly say Explora Journeys has managed to raise the bar once again.
Having already sailed on Explora I and Explora II, I was fascinated to see how the newest ship would compare. The answer? It builds confidently on everything that made its predecessors so impressive, while thoughtful additions like the beach house-style Shore Club on 11 and the redesigned Lobby Bar somehow manage to elevate the experience even further.
I stayed in an Ocean Grand Terrace Suite, which once again reminded me why I was so impressed when I first discovered Explora Journeys. Everything feels beautifully considered, with an understated elegance that never feels over the top. This particular suite also features a generous double-sized balcony, which quickly became my favourite place to sit with a coffee in the morning or a drink before dinner.
The dining was every bit as good as I remembered. Fil Rouge provided a wonderful first evening as we sailed away from Rome, while a late-night departure from Portofino was the perfect excuse to visit Marble & Co. Grill. Emporium Marketplace remains, in my opinion, the best relaxed dining venue at sea, and I was pleased to discover the new snacks and small plates now available in Crema Cafe.
As always, it's often the smallest details that leave the biggest impression. More seating throughout the lobby, a larger pool in The Conservatory, and even the welcome addition of a clothes steamer in every suite (ideal for someone like me who never seems capable of unpacking a crease-free shirt!) all contribute to a ship that feels even more polished than before.

I stayed in an <b>Ocean Grand Terrace Suite</b>, which once again reminded me why I was so impressed when I first discovered Explora Journeys. Everything feels beautifully considered, with an understated elegance that never feels over the top. The dining was every bit as good as I remembered. <b>Fil Rouge</b> provided a wonderful first evening as we sailed away from Rome, while a late-night departure from Portofino was the perfect excuse to visit <b>Marble & Co. Grill</b>. <b>Emporium Marketplace</b> remains, in my opinion, the best relaxed dining venue at sea, and I was pleased to discover the new snacks and small plates now available in <b>Crema Café</b>.<br>

As always, it's often the smallest details that leave the biggest impression.
