Position Description:
- Requirements gathering for Battery Management System robustness and
software accuracy verification activity to form a basis for test case
definition. - Supporting the robust engineering activities including
FMEA reviews, noise factor analysis, countermeasure development, root
cause analysis etc. - Responsibility for the design, development and
delivery of rig and vehicle test environments. - Develop and undertake
robust DVM/DVP for electrical system validation including HIL and
vehicle tests aligned with JLR internal standards. - Evaluation of tests
results using suitable functional or analytical tool set, supported by
adequate understanding of BMS SW functionality. - Lead issue
investigation, using a structured approach like 8D, DMAIC, etc. -
Provide adequate information from tests to SW team with the focus on
battery/vehicle operating regions in which BMS SW performance is
compromised. - Data collection on software performance to demonstrate
statistical confidence of robustness. - Ensure that the data generated
meets the requirement of the project, prepare data and reports in line
with customer requirements and aligned with ASPICE process. - Identify
and highlight quality problems and help to find solutions using accepted
processes. - Support system engineering and vehicle sign off activities.

Experience Required:
¿ Experience in Battery Management System design or comparable complex
/ safety relevant systems ¿ Electrical and Electronics Hardware and
Software test ¿ Thorough understanding of system engineering principles
and experience in system delivery (V-cycle). ¿ Possess good
interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and
communicate effectively at all levels within the organization, and with
external bodies. ¿ Highly disciplined, analytical and self-committed. ¿
ISO26262 ¿ ASPICE
Experience Preferred:
¿ Automotive networks like CAN, SPI, LIN ¿ VECTOR tools, CANalyser,
CANApe, CANoe ¿ Software / Control engineering ¿ DOORs ¿ Matlab/Simulink
¿ Experience with Li-Ion chemistry ¿ Six sigma problem solving
