Apologies, I muddled up the links in my previous email, they should all now

An eagerly awaited 30 cases of the delicious 2024 Petite Sirène de Giscours, 
Bordeaux Blanc has just arrived, the wine described as 'summer in a glass' 
by my colleague Robin when he first tasted it, and with its exotic fruit and 
zippy fresh finale I think he's right on the money.

Much like the white wines of the Rhône valley, white Bordeaux continues to 
be all too often overlooked, but the glorious combination of the elegant, 
exotic flavours of sauvignon blanc, with texture enhancing, zip-curbing 
sémillon is simply too good to ignore.


The Petite Sirène de Giscours Blanc is a brilliant example of why Bordeaux 
Blanc deserves a place in your cellar, and more importantly your wine glass; 
as not only is it a deliciously well-made white wine, but also brilliant 
value, even more so with our current case deal of £177/case (£14.75/bottle)

My Notes

There's a lovely pure colour in the glass with a faint golden/silvery glint 
hinting at a fresh elegant wine to follow, with a swish releasing aromas of 
lemongrass, citrus a touch of elderflower and green apple.

The palate is prickly fresh, a hint of peach and pear followed by a citrus 
blast that's rounded off with a subtle creamy texture courtesy of the 
sémillon in the blend and a touch of aging on lees.

Those pear and orchard fruit flavours hold nicely on the palate, framed by a 
crisp, dry finish with a delicate creamy texture.

This is a very enjoyable solo glass, but as mentioned above, but will also 
be fantastic at the dinner table where that prickly crispness will charge 
through any oiliness from fish, cheese, pastry and more to reveal its lively 
fruit charm.
