Hi Sara, we met with Jo this morning and advised her that due to the return
to work of one permanent staff member from sick leave we are now over
staffed at the service. We have several agency staff working here and had to
make a decision which of them we would release. We decided to release Jo for
the following reasons;
* Jo failed to turn up for her shift.
* Concerns about boundaries with Service Users being breached; Jo accepted a
phone charger from a Service User, Jo advised other staff here that she had
danced with a Service User she met in a local nightclub.
We advised Jo we would pay her for the coming weeks shifts she was scheduled
to work and of course the shifts she worked last week. Please see detail
below;
1st April – 9hours
2nd April- 9hours
3rd April- 3hours (training)
6th April – 8hours
Total 29hours. Deducted 1 1/2 hours lunch/break
Hours payable: 27 1/2
9th April – 10hours
10th April – 10hours
13th April – 8hours
14th April – 8hours
Total – 36hours. Deducted 2hours lunch/break
Hours payable: 34
