We have found that the 48V Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) battery can=
enter an offline state resulting in loss of communication between the Batt=
ery Energy Control Module (BECM) and Powertrain Control Module (PCM). As a =
consequence, auto stop/start may not function as intended and there will be=
no communication to the BECM during diagnostic sessions. JLR is offering t=
o update the BECM software and, if necessary, replace the 48V battery and c=
ooling fan link harness.
Please contact your preferred Land Rover retailer/authorised repairer witho=
ut delay. To book your vehicle in for this service action you will need to =
provide details of the VIN and Programme Number, found at the beginning of =
this email, along with your Registration Number. =20
This will be done free of charge under the terms of this programme, and we =
