Steps to help keep your accounts safe

Use strong and unique passwords
Don?t reuse passwords, and don?t use personal info or memorable dates in
your passwords. Give your email account a strong, unique password so it
can not be used to access your other accounts.

Never share one-time passcodes, PINs or passwords
We?ll never ask you to share this information. It?s none of our business.

Turn on two-step verification and choose to receive codes by SMS
One-time passcodes add an extra layer of account protection. When you have
the option, choose to receive verification codes by SMS rather than email.
This way, if your email is hacked, your other accounts will remain safe.


How to spot a scam


Many scams pretend to be online retailers, delivery services, payment
platforms, banks, credit card companies, or even friends or relatives.
Here are a few signs that an email, text or call you receive might be a
scam:

Calls or texts are from an unknown, hidden, or international number

Emails or texts include hyperlinks, spelling mistakes, or unusual text

The sender uses an urgent tone, telling you to act now

They ask for sensitive, personal or financial information like PINs or
passwords

If you suspect an email or text may not be genuine, report it and don?t
click any links in the message. And just a reminder, giffgaff doesn?t have
call centres, so if you receive a call from someone claiming to be us,
it?s not. Hang up on them sharpish.

Forward it free of charge to 7726. If your phone supports SPAM reporting,
