Nice to talk to you. We are getting quite a few roles now for the special 
vehicles operations at Fen end and at Ryton.
Generally they are all long term contracts and typically last up to a year 
but can last longer. The job that you are applying for would be a limited 
rate of 27.71 per hour (approximately £57500) and will be based at Fen end.

Location: 26 - FEN END
Position Description:
"Experienced Brake Performance Development Engineer required to support SVO 
programmes. Position will require an engineer to hit the ground running and 
support the braking performance testing & development activities for SVO 
Halo products. Knowledge of brake performance testing processes is essential 
to aid speed of work start. Applicant must have experience of coordinating & 
conducting brake attribute development testing, instrumenting test vehicles, 
raising test budgets and using objective data acquisition tools as well as 
being able to carry out subjective correlation exercises. Part of the role 
will require the successful applicant to interface with the brake component 
& system project delivery teams, PAT & VET Teams, workshops & 
instrumentation teams. Applicant will be responsible for validating complex 
brake systems through the technical gateway process to Production and able 
to work in small teams and with other Functions. Good overall projects 
skills are required as well as being able to present complex technical 
issues and solutions to senior engineering management. Position requires the 
applicant to be able to work internationally on regular occasions for 
in-vehicle test work."
Skills Required:
3 key skills required Experience of coordinating & conducting brake 
attribute development testing, using objective data acquisition tools as 
well as being able to carry out objective vs. subjective correlation 
exercises Candidates must have a solid understanding of first principles in 
order to lead problem resolution sessions and reach compatible cross 
functional solutions. Experience of 8D problem solving methodologies. Team 
player with good communication skills & business acumen

Experience Required:
"Relevant Degree, or substantial relevant experience Experience of Brake 
testing or development Limit handling experience within high performance 
vehicles. Excellent analytical skills
Experience Preferred:
"RMDV, AIMs & other JLR tools & processes. Knowledge of whole vehicle 
systems and architecture"
