Can I Claim R&D Tax Credits?
The R&D tax regime has changed significantly, with most companies now
operating under the merged R&D expenditure credit scheme for accounting
periods beginning on or after 1 April 2024. Some loss-making R&D-intensive
SMEs may instead fall under ERIS. At the same time, grant funding remains
available, but increasingly through targeted, scope-led competitions where
timing and project fit matter.
This creates a simple question for many businesses:
Are you confident that your recent and planned innovation activity has been
properly reviewed?
For businesses that have never claimed R&D Tax Credits, that may mean
checking whether qualifying activity has been overlooked.
