Weekend travel information

If you are out in London this weekend, there are plenty of ways to get
around the city with no planned closures on the Tube or Elizabeth line this

Non-folding e-bikes are banned on our transport network
From Monday 31 March, all non-folding e-bikes will be banned

on the Tube, London Overground, Elizabeth line and DLR.
This is to ensure the safety of the network for customers and staff.
Non-folding bikes are currently not allowed on buses or trams, and no
e-bikes are permitted on the IFS Cloud Cable Car. This will remain the case.
They will continue to be permitted on the Silvertown Cycle Shuttle Service
(when it opens on Monday 7 April), Woolwich Ferry, River services (subject
to operator) and Coach services (subject to operator).

Thursday 27 March
No westbound service from Camden Road to Willesden Junction after 23:45

Use local bus routes.

Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March
No service between Stratford International and Woolwich Arsenal, and between
Poplar and Beckton
Use alternative Tube services, local bus routes or Southeastern Railway
services. Rail replacement buses will run. This is due to KeolisAmey
Docklands engineering works.
River
Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March
No service on the Woolwich Ferry
Drivers should use alternative river crossings at Dartford, Blackwall or
Rotherhithe (Rotherhithe Tunnel has weight and height restrictions

works and asset upgrades.
Buses and roads
Bus journeys will be affected by the following changes over the weekend. We
expect to run a good service, but buses may be delayed, diverted or stop
short of their normal destination.
Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 March
Olympia
From 10:00 until 17:00 each day, Olympia will host an annual event. Large
crowds are expected. On Thursday and Friday, the District line will not run
to Olympia, so customers will need to use London Overground services.
Friday 28 and Saturday 29 March
O2 Arena
From 18:30 until 22:30 each evening, the O2 Arena will host music and
sporting events. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected
before and after each event.
Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 March
City of London
From 05:00 until 19:30 on Saturday, and from 00:01 until 19:30 on Sunday,
road closures and bus diversions will be in place around Ludgate Hill for
filming. From 05:00 until 12:00, Carter Lane will be closed before the film
crew move up to Ludgate Hill until 19:30 on both days.
Monday 31 March until Sunday 6 April
A12
The A12 will have closures and lane restrictions between 22:00 and 06:00 on
the following dates while we carry out works to improve step-free access at
Leyton station.
From Monday 31 March until Wednesday 2 April, the A12 will be closed
westbound between the Green Man interchange roundabout and Eastway junction.
From Wednesday 2 until Sunday 6 April, the A12 will be restricted to one
lane westbound for 1km west of the Green Man interchange roundabout.
Plan ahead, allow more time for your journey and check before you travel
