You will not be able to use WebFiling to file for a company without
connecting to GOV.UK One Login.
You will still be able to file a charge (mortgage) document without linking
your account to GOV.UK One Login.
This move to GOV.UK One Login will make it easier and more secure for
customers to access our services.

What you need to do before 11 October 2025
To make sure you can still access your account after the change and keep
your saved information:
* make sure the email address you use to sign in to WebFiling
<https://idam-ui.company-information.service.gov.uk/> is up to date and you
have access to it. If you need to update the email address, do this before
11 October 2025 by selecting ‘Manage account’ after signing in to your
WebFiling account
* if you also have a Companies House account for Find and update company
information
<https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/signin> , use
the same email address for both accounts – you can change the email address
for either
* if you have a Companies House account for Find and update company
information
<https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/signin> ,
consider connecting this with GOV.UK One Login now (if you haven’t
already). If you don’t already have a Companies House account we recommend
that you create one. Use the same email address you use for WebFiling
* check the companies you are authorised to file for in your WebFiling
account – go to ‘Your companies’ and remove any companies you no longer file
for. You should also remove any users who no longer need authorisation to
file for your company
If you no longer use the WebFiling service, you do not need to take any
action.

What to expect
From 13 October, when you next sign in, you’ll be prompted to connect your
WebFiling account to GOV.UK One Login.
If you don’t have a GOV.UK One Login, you’ll be asked to create one. Once
you’ve connected your WebFiling account, use your GOV.UK One Login details
to sign in every time.
You may need to enter each company’s authentication code
<https://www.gov.uk/guidance/company-authentication-codes-for-online-filing>
to confirm that you are still authorised to file for the company.

If you share a WebFiling account with others
Your existing WebFiling account can only be connected to one GOV.UK One
Login.
Once the account is connected to GOV.UK One Login, only the person who
connected it will be able to access the original WebFiling account.
Other users will need to:
* create a new WebFiling account with GOV.UK One Login using their own
email address
* add the companies they want to file for
* enter each company’s authentication code or ask an existing user to
digitally authorise them
