No service between Tower Gateway and Shadwell, between Stratford and West
India Quay (via Bow Church) and between Westferry and Canning Town (via
Poplar)
Use Tube and Elizabeth line services, or local bus routes.
Rail replacement buses will run between Westferry and Canning Town via All
Saints. This is due to work on the New Trains Project.
London Trams
Until Friday 18 April
No service between Sandilands and New Addington
Trams will run between Wimbledon and Beckenham Junction/Elmers End.
Use local bus routes. Tram replacement buses will run between New Addington
and East Croydon. This is so that essential engineering works can be carried
out to improve the tramway.
Buses and roads
Bus journeys will be affected by the following changes over the weekend. We
expect to run a good service, but buses may be delayed, diverted or stop
short of their normal destination.
Thursday 17 April
Stamford Bridge
From 19:00 until 22:00, Stamford Bridge will host a football match, with
kick off at 20:00. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected
before and after the match.
Thursday 10 until Sunday 13 April
O2 Arena
From 18:30 until 22:30, the O2 Arena will host a music concert every
evening. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and
after each event.
Friday 18 April
Kingston
From 10:00 until 11:15, a procession will take place at Kingston Town
Centre, starting at Jubilee Square and ending at the War Memorial, where
there will be a short service. Large crowds are expected.
Friday 18 and Saturday 19 April
Trafalgar Square
From 12:00 until 17:00 on Friday, there will be a theatrical event at
Trafalgar Square. The performances take place from 12:00 and 15:15 and
finish at 16:45. From 12:00 until 18:00 on Saturday, an annual cultural
event will take place. No road closures but large crowds are expected.
Saturday 19 April
Emirates Stadium
From 11:00 until 15:00, the Emirates Stadium will host a women's football
match, with kick off at 12:30. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are
expected before and after the match. Local road closures will be in place
around the stadium.
Central London
From 11:30 until 17:00, a motorcycle rally is taking place in a circular
route to and from Whitehall, via Victoria Embankment and Northumberland
Avenue. Increased traffic levels are expected.
From 12:00 until 16:00, a static demonstration will take place outside
Scotland Yard. Large crowds are expected.
From 13:00 until 16:30, a march will take place from Marble Arch to
Trafalgar Square via Oxford Street, Regent Street, Haymarket and Cockspur
Street. Large crowds are expected but no road closures are currently in
place.
Sunday 20 April
Craven Cottage
From 13:00 until 16:00, Craven Cottage will host a football match, with kick
off at 14:00. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before
and after the match. Local road closures will be in place around the
stadium.
Tuesday 22 until Sunday 27 April
Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge will be closed from 22:00 until 05:00 each night for City of
London bridge works. During the closures, bus routes 42, 78 and 343 will be
diverted or stop short of their usual destinations.
Routes 42 and 78 will serve all stops on diversion via Queen Elizabeth
Street, Tooley Street, London Bridge, King William Street and Eastcheap.
Route 343 will not serve stops on Tower Bridge Road, starting and finishing
at Queen Elizabeth Street bus stand.
