Hello Bob,
I have just been speaking to Sarah at your office and she suggested that i
should drop you a line.
I applied for the above position through CV Library on 2nd November, and
have received an acknowledgement; so thanks for that. However, because this
was my first time using the CV Library set up i did not notice an
opportunity to send a covering letter with my CV. I would like to add a
little if i may?
I am in the process of closing my vehicle rental business permanently and
having set up and run a complex and very demanding company, pretty much on
my own for 21 years i am looking for a complete change of direction. I have
enjoyed every moment of this period of my life but in retrospect i think i
would have enjoyed it more as part of a team. I saw this vacancy and
realised straight away that a management position with a growing business
that has a highly motivated leader would be perfect. My experience of
operating an unpredictable, customer oriented firm along with my strong
engineering background, problem solving and get stuck in attitude should be
of great benefit. I love to work. I am full of enthusiasm, energetic,
methodical and creative. I am certain that if you can put me in front if
your client he (or she) will want to explore the possibilities.
