You ticked B on your starter form, Which means that you are standard tax for
the year.
Your allowance for tax is £12,750 which takes and average of your general
pay over the year and deduct tax evenly. Of you were not to reach the £12759
threshold then you would be due a rebate on any tax you have overpaid.
For more information you need to discuss this with HMRC.

Also I wanted to ask about income tax being deducted - wouldn't it be that
