Essential instructions on preparations for your blood test:

- Your blood test appointment will last 5 minutes.

- It is important that you arrive at least 5 minutes in advance of your 
appointment. You will be directed to a designated waiting area and the nurse 
will call you when ready.

FASTING INSTRUCTIONS - Only applies if you were instructed to Fast by your 
GP/Consultant

- If your GP has instructed you to fast, then you should not take any food 
or beverages for 10 hours before your blood test appointment. PLEASE DRINK 
WATER TO AVOID DEHYDRATION.

- If you have any conditions such as diabetes which may be affected by 
fasting, please seek our advice in advance of your health screen.

- Continue to take any regular medication with water when fasting.


If you can't make your appointment?
If you cannot make your appointment for unavoidable reasons, please let us 
know at least 2 working days in advance.
