You could earn 30,000 Virgin Points when you take out a Virgin Atlantic
Reward+ Card if you spend £3,000 within the first 90 days of opening the
account. The offer, available for those who successfully apply before
November 18, is instead of the usual 18,000 points.
This card can be useful for Virgin Atlantic flyers but can also be costly if
you don’t make use of the full benefits. We’ve listed the headline
components below, and if you’re interested, we suggest you check out the
full T&Cs that go into more detail, to make sure you can make the most of
it:
- There’s a £160 a year fee.
- 0% interest on balance transfers within the first 60 days (balance
transfer fees apply, at 3%).
- To qualify for the deal, you must not currently hold, nor have held, a
Virgin Atlantic Reward+ card in the last 6 months.
- Bonus points are on top of the usual 1.5 Virgin Points for every £1 spent
on most purchases.
- Points can be used towards flights (and other Virgin rewards) but you
always pay taxes and charges on flights.
- If you spend £10,000 a year or more you can earn a voucher that can get
you an upgrade or a companion ticket on Virgin Atlantic.
- To have a greater chance of using points on the flight you want, you often
need to book well ahead (even then, you may need to be flexible).
- Always pay the card off in full each month to avoid paying interest, which
can cancel out the gain.
