Dear Elizabeth,
Please can you arrange payment of the following 2 days unpaid wages, as I
completed these days at British Blind Sport:
For your information, I started work on Tuesday 8 May, from 09:30 to
15:00, and had a 30 minutes lunch break. I did the same again on Wednesday
9 May, from 09:30 to 15:00, and had a 30 minutes lunch break. I am owed
�85.00, and my P45. I did not agree to work for free, and I will take
further action if required.
Your client changed their mind during my contract, and was looking for
someone to work with them on an ongoing basis. I only agreed to fill in
for several weeks at the most while they recruited a permanent member of
staff, and this shift of attitude made me feel very uncomfortable working
there. I have recorded my telephone interview with them to prove what I
agreed. If you look at my CV, I am a qualified accountant and lawyer, who
has been contracting for the past 14 years, with a sprinkling of high
level customer service roles, so to commit to a long term low level
administrative role would have been ludicrous.
I hope that further action will not be required against Sarah Harvey
Recruitment.
