<p>For the very lucky few, the 2nd anniversary also was the end o=
f their claim period if their Policy covered them for losses for =
2 years. For the majority, it remains a battle to get right=
ful compensation for something that was beyond their control.</p>
<p>A recent court case 'Corbin and King' and a victory aga=
inst the Insurer, has given everybody more hope that as many more cas=
es are heard, there will be more wins and more policy wordings that are app=
roved by judges to payout to businesses.</p>
<p>The High Court ruling against Axa and for the benefit of 'Corbin and Kin=
g', a London based restaurant chain, said that their ' Non Damage Denial of=
Access' claim was valid and that <strong>the insurer had to pay them over =
=C2=A34m to settle the claim</strong>.</p>
<p>The result has rippled through the sector as many more similar claims ar=
e waved through too. We have built a database of over 3,000 cases so =
that our legal team can quickly identify and settle every claim that m=
irror successful cases. The team are also <strong>submitting cas=
es to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)</strong> and preparing cases wi=
th Barristers to be heard in court too but the backlog of unheard cases is =
still long.</p>
<p>We are still accepting new claims but we are <strong>also validating suc=
cessful claims</strong> as we have found errors in settlement calculations =
from insurers and we've <strong>achieved additional pay-outs.</strong></p>
<p>Our 2 year update has now been published including some information from=
the FCA who are surveying Insurers monthly to monitor progress after their=
own court successes last year and in 2020.</p>
