I have also just spoken to our Gretsch rep who suggested speaking to a 
local guitar store or builder and see if you can get a box and packaging 
off them or possibly borrowing a case of someone to ship it in as well 
as the box for extra protection. Either way, ourselves and Gretsch 
always suggest trying to follow the reverb suggestions as close as you 
can to ensure the guitar reaches us securely without issues.
