m r PKTRAMPocket RAM Software The PocketRAM application allows PDAs running Windows PocketPC 2003 (as used on the HP iPaq and similar devices) to download RAM2 files on the field. Once downloaded onto the PDA they can be viewed and altitudes measured.
The software operates in English, Italian, and French languages, and displays heights in feet or meters.
Supplied by email. If purchased alone without any physical goods we will refund the delivery charge automatically added to the total by the web site.

This makes it much easier to differentiate between a "stick thermal" and a real bubble or rising air. The product consists of the aluminium TE probe, a short brass mounting tube, and approx 2m of thin tubing for plumbing the TE probe to the vario's pressure input. The TE Probe for Conventional Tails (TEX) should be mounted with the long part of the probe horizontal, aligned with the airstream, and the bent portion at the front pointing down.
With a Total Energy probe (TEK) fitted the variometer senses the vertical movement of the air mass, rather than the vertical movement of the model. The TEK does this by sensing the models speed, and adjusting the pressure into the variometer appropriately. With a perfect TEK you could dive a model and loop it, and the varios tone wouldnt change - as long as you didnt fly into lift or sink. Conversely, you could trim a model to high speed to escape an area of sink, and the TEK-fitted vario would continue to sense the vertical speed of the air mass only, without being confused by the higher than normal sink rate of the speeding model. Thus as soon as you had escaped the sink the vario would return to the normal tone - without the TEK you would have to slow the model up before you could rely on the varios signal.
This TE probe is suitable for models with conventional and T tails.
Read the TE Probe Instruction Manual for a full description of how it works and installation guidelines.
