CDC-460-14460mm Column Radiator�Fabulous radiator, not the rubbish you can find in some reclamation yards. I was able to put the brass ends on i purchased from Conventry Demolition also and fit the radiator in where my old horrid white one once was.

These raditors are simply fabulous, delivery was quick and they were VERY nice to deal with.

I will be back very very soon for my next radiator/s for my next room

I have a policy that something this important needs to be seen in real life and felt. But I took a punt and it paid off handsomely.

They're everything the picture details...from the handmade grooves of the wooden parts to the nickel part of the plate. It looks even more classier than the picture.

My recommendation is...this is a must for anyone who wants to marry a heritage motif with a modern twist. In addition...you must buy the matching nickel plated escutcheons. They're even more spectacular looking than the door knobs if that was even possible.

They will polish up as real brass, but also they are delicate.

Second point, these are really nice solid brass, they come with the square bar between them, and an allen key to fix them on.

Third point, when you order 3 you get 3 pairs, which is six knobs.

The only slighty downside is that it isn't easy to judge the size online. The ring you see on the right is normal size (not oversize) and as you see the knobs are the same radius.

If you get these, get the matching keyhole covers they are nice and large and complement these really great.

I agree with the previous comment (from Lily, below) who suggested a guide to 'how to fit a door knob' would be useful - it appears very straight forward, but it can be fiddly, and silly wee things can make the process more difficult than need be.

One final comment, my door knobs were left propped up on the front door by the delivery company and I found them there when I returned from work. Thankfully, no-one had walked off with them, but this might not have been the case. I'd have preferred if the parcel had been put somewhere more discrete and a card put through my door to let me know.

My only critisism is that prior to the delivery of our radiators communications were not very good and until the courier contacted us regarding delivery, we had no idea when our radiators might be coming. It didn't give us time to arrange for help to lift and move the rads. and as they were delivered wrapped on a pallet,and left on the pallet, it did make things rather difficult. Cool rads!�These retro radiators are fantastic. They look great in our modern living room, but at the same time would work well with any decoration. They kick out a great amount of heat so they serve their purpose well! These cast iron beauties also stay hotter for longer when compared to the modern day alternatives, well worth the money!

Door KnobsI was looking for ages to find door knobs to replace our houses damaged or missing original victorian ones. I came across this website by typing in "reclaimed door knobs". I ordered the Beehive - 8 and am absolutely delighted with the quality and the dark brown colour is perfect. At �9.50 a pair the price was brilliant and delivery was prompt. I realised I had miss counted how many sets I needed and ordered another set and within 2 days they had arrived. I am sure they will look great once they are in situ. For these last 38 years we have been searching for brass beehive doorknobs for all the internal doors, and, as we were not prepared to pay the �80 per pair that Hungerford Arcade dealers were charging for them, decided to look on the internet and chanced on your site - at last something that looked right and at an extremely attractive price. We've just bought and fitted 10 sets - easy to fit to our ancient doors, and are at a piece with our house. Thoroughly recommended.

CDC-760-19ZI have purchased several column radiators from Coventry on separate occasions and I have thus far been very pleased with them. I chose to keep the radiator in their original matt black primer colour and they look great.

When first used they do give off a mild smell initially but I presume this is simply a consequence of the primer settling in on being heated for the first few times.

Delivery has been prompt and without issue. Be aware the larger radiators are VERY heavy, you will need at least three men, ideally four to get them up stairs!

Good product. I can highly recommend.

It could be that the brass will weather with time to a horrible dark and worn finish as opposed to mellow. I certainly hope not and in the mean time will go and source some brass screws from a local diy shop.

The groove was too narrow for one screwdriver and I had to use a much smaller screwdriver that was too small to apply enough pressure to drive in all the way in. I bought 13 for my new house renovation earlier this year, and I thought they looked lovely when they arrived, I was really pleased. In less than six months, however, more than half of them have now got problems. Two have completely sheared off at the base. I have glued them back but they aren't holding well. The others simply won't tighten properly, and come off in your hand. I am not sure what to do now as I now have a house full of doorknobs that don't work and it will cost me a lot of money to replace them. Very sad. I really would advise you to buy something sturdier.

Our poor old doors had been decked out in a mismatch of cheap and bodged fittings. So we've bought a set of beehive knobs and for the downstairs doors with keyholes these escutcheon to match to bring things back to something like their former glory.

Some 'period style' sites had eye watering prices but Coventry Demolition provided something which looks authentic at a great price. I was rally impressed with the weight of the brass and unlacquered finish that should age nicely. For the uninitiated there was a good set of instructions about how to fit and adjust the fittings. I had a problem that many of the door handles had a rim lock on one side. I decided to purchase the large beehive knobs and behive keyhole covers from the Coventry Demolition Company - I ordered on Friday and they were delivered on Monday. Excellent quality and nicely wrapped. I had to use reduced length screws than those delivered due to the size of my doors but this was not a problem. The knobs fitted easily to the rim lock side and I just needed to discard the back plate. I also ordered the matching beehive keyhole covers and they look super. The latch handle is not shown in the picture (the bit that pokes through to the inside of the door) and I was concerned as to what it would be like; but it is curved down with a rounded end (rather than straight or with a sharp point as I have seen elswhere) so is ideal for the job.Might be an idea to include a picture. The screws supplied were too long for my 1/2" thick door, so if you're in the same boat you may need to buy some smaller ones.

A bit naffxThis is a very simple and functional idea. The rod fixed to the wall is fine. It looks as it should, functional. However, and I think its a big HOWEVER. The tie bar that passes between the rad sections and wraps around the wall one would expect to be the same metal and finish. I think at one time it would have been, but no longer. Now it is a continuously threaded bar, cut to length and bent into a hook. Its NAFF and it looks NAFF.

Thank you B. Coventry for your comments. These stays are not sold as an aesthetic piece, but more functional. Paint can be obtained to tone them in with the radiator upon request if required.

Excellent VFM�I was surprised to see so many reviews, that I thought this was a scam. All in all a very nice price and well made. I bought a dozen. It was easy to age them artificially, but being unlacquered brass they'll tarnish nicely anyway.

They are relatively easy to fit, but beware on thinner doors. The screws are soft (so easy to saw down).Shorter fatter ones would probably suffice as the threaded spindle takes the strain, making it a highly suitable handle for old doors that are on their third or fourth set. I'd pay a few pence extra for a slotted grub screw, but in fact none of the screws failed during fitting.

We have ordered from Coventry Demolition before and were very happy with both the ordering and the product. So when we had re decorated the hall, we ordered our next radiator from Coventry Demolition. Again very simple. But this time the cheapest wall tie was much improved. No longer just a bent threaded bar around another bar horizontally fixed to the wall that not only looked"naff" but was naff and allowed movement. Now its a spreading captive item that spreads when you draw the rad into the wall there bye holding it in place without any slack movement.

The downside was the delivery company who decided to send the largest articulated lorry without enquiring about access. Who then, when the driver could not get down our 250 rough track blamed me for not telling him. At what point was I to do that ? and why should I think for him. The driver did not have a truck to load the very heavy 19 section radiator onto, so expected me, on my own age 65 to carry, yes carry the radiator to my property. Luckily a chap who lives at the road end of the drive offered to take delivery and leave it outside his house until I could arrange something. It sat there for two days until I could hire a trolley to put it on and bring it home. So now the cost of the rad went up �23, the cost to hire the trolley.
Sadly the rad was marked in 5 places that didn't in anyway correspond with damage to the packaging as there was none, so the damage happened pre packing. I didn't bother contacting Coventry Demolition because I couldn't face being to blame again. I still have four bedrooms to re furbish and four rads to buy.
