<td width="530" rowspan="7"><p align="justify" class="style46">I make sculpture, paintings, drawings and work with the spoken and written word using bronze, clay, ice, sand, stone, paint and the web. The context for my work ranges from galleries to parks and public squares. It often involves modelling, carving or casting and my process is a mixture of thinking, feeling and instinct. </p>
<p align="justify" class="style46">Artists I admire include Ian Hamilton Finlay for his combination of text and image and his ruthless philosophy; Zhang Huan for his intensity and sensitivity and his concern with spirit; Vermeer for his understatement; Kiki Smith for her idiosyncracy, individualism and her drawing; Gerhard Richter for his brutal honesty; Rodin for his sensuality and courage; Giotto for his timelessness. </p>
