e to have our friends at ARTDAI perform a gut check on the market=E2=80=99s=
health over the first half of 2024. In short: These aren=E2=80=99t the glo=
ry days, but we=E2=80=99ve been here before. Fine art sales at Christie=E2=
=80=99s, Phillips, and Sotheby=E2=80=99s totaled $2.66 billion, according t=
o ARTDAI=E2=80=94down 25 percent from the same period last year, and down 4=
8 percent from the first half of 2022. One has to go back to the disastrous=
first half of 2020=E2=80=94you might remember a pandemic forcing everythin=
