Hello Penny,
I have checked my diary and am very disappointed to find that I have
meetings on the mornings of both the 5th and 12th.
However I am free on both afternoons. Is there and chance of splitting the
days, that is me hiring from 2pm until 6 pm on the afternoons of the 5th and
the 12th?
I am sorry to mess you about like this but that is the only way I can make
it work.
Let me know if it will work and I will return the form to you and BACS
transfer the money.

Thank you for your email and for the reassurance re: the use of candles. We
have checked with our insurers and there is a clause in our hirer conditions
which is attached. I can't foresee a problem in your case.
There are two Fridays available in July when the Dance school takes a break.
They are 5th and 12th July. Please can you let me know if either of these
dates suit you.
I have attached our Venue Booking Form for you which you can complete and
return to me. The daily rate would be the one sent to you before.

If it helps for your insurance, I can assure them that if I did use a
candle, it would be monitored at all times, I could even have a fire
extinguisher close at hand and no alcohol will be consumed (in my experience
drink is always the most important problem when consumed at parties and
other functions). As candles feature strongly in my work, it would be a
shame to not use them.

for you to hire the hall. Are there any dates you would like me to pencil

Following our AGM a couple of nights ago, we are following up with our
insurance company as to exactly what the implications are with regard to
candles, as obviously this is something that is used for birthday parties as
well so we want to be completely clear about it.

I have now had a chance to chat to our Chairman and we would really like to
be able to accommodate your request at the hall.
The booking would have to fit in over a period of time when there are no
other bookings.
We would also be unable to insure your equipment whilst it is in the hall,
but if you have personal insurance that should not be a problem.
We have good black out blinds, enough electrical power and good parking
facilities.
Would you like me to show you around the hall and we can then discuss dates
and cost depending on how many days you would like to book it for? If so,
please can you let me know when you would be available and we can arrange
something.
