m_term=3Df6c60615e3d301d48d28 ), my partner Peter Hamby=E2=80=99s excellent=
daily podcast that serves as the inner sanctum of the Puck cinematic unive=
rse. It seemed like a good idea for me to make some notes on discussion top=
ics so
that we wouldn=E2=80=99t have to talk, yet again, about Joe Biden=E2=80=99s=
battle with the media and his party over the fate of his presidency.
And then=E2=80=94as you can well imagine, dear reader=E2=80=94you know what=
happened next. I heard my wife audibly gasp from down below and I picked u=
p my phone to find out that Biden had exited the race. I=E2=80=99m not a ne=
ws junkie, per se, but I am an information addict=E2=80=94there=E2=80=99s a=
n essential difference=E2=80=94and so I pinged Peter, who remains umbilical=
ly connected to Bidenworld, to find out what he was hearing and outline the=
show. Then I hopped on the horn with John Heilemann, whose information on =
the unfolding Biden saga has been two or three steps ahead of anyone else=
=E2=80=99s reporting. Before Peter and I started taping, there was a more u=
rgent matter to sort out: Heilemann and I needed to figure out a plan for w=
hat he was going to publish that night for his Sunday evening column.
As I=E2=80=99ve noted in this space before,
editing is the art of elimination=E2=80=94and in many ways, that=E2=80=99s =
also one of our founding principles at Puck. There=E2=80=99s too much conte=

=2E Disney needed the NBA to launch its=
two forthcoming streaming services. A=
mazon had been champing at the bit to get in on the action. And then there =
