Pip & Nut: From Working In The Science Museum To Being A Top Entrepreneur

& Nut is a nut butter and almond milk brand that's taken the UK by storm.
Launched by Pippa Murray in 2015 as an alternative to high sugar, palm-oil
filled peanut butters, the brand is now stocked in over 5,000 stored across
the UK, Ireland, Norway and The Netherlands.
Pippa had no experience of running a business or launching an FMCG product,
she was working as a theatre producer at the Science Museum when she had the
idea. It was in search of a post-run snack that she decided to have a crack
at launching her own nut butter business.
"There wasn't a profound light-bulb moment, where I woke up one morning and
thought: nut butter, that's it! Things chipped away at me for a while,"
explains Pippa who does a lot of running and marathon training.
Craving a boost after a session, she would always turn to peanut butter. "It
helped with the exercise, being high in protein, but it was also delicious –
the perfect treat." This led her to launch her own and the rest, as they
say, is history.

VOOM 2018 Launches With A £1m Prize Pot For Small Businesses ✊
The UK's biggest pitching competition is back for 2018 and has a prize pot
worth £1m for this year's top small and medium-sized businesses. We're
excited to be a partner so thought we'd share some more information below.
Ths years competition has two entry categories: Scale & Grow and Spark &
Start-up. Businesses will be in competition to win a cash prize, as well as
an out of home advertising campaign from JCDecaux and a first-stage funding
programme from G by Grant Thornton.
Voom finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to Richard
Branson

and almond milk brand that's taken the UK by storm. Launched by Pippa =
Murray in 2015 as an alternative to high sugar, palm-oil filled peanut =

Pippa had no experience of running a business or launching an FMCG =
product, she was working as a theatre producer at the Science =
Museum when she had the idea. It was in search of a post-run snack that =
she decided to have a crack at launching her own nut butter =

"There wasn't a profound light-bulb moment, where I woke up one morning =
and thought: nut butter, that's it! Things chipped away at me for a =
while," explains Pippa who does a lot of running and marathon =
training.<br>
<br>
Craving a boost after a session, she would always turn to peanut butter. =
"It helped with the exercise, being high in protein, but it was also =
delicious =E2=80=93 the perfect treat." This led her to launch her own =
and the rest, as they say, is history.<br>
