Paul Benney is an internationally acclaimed British artist best known for
his painting and installation work.
A prominent member of the
Neo-Expressionist group during the 80’s in New York’s East Village, Benney
became known for his depictions of stygian themes and dark nights of the
soul. He recently exhibited his large scale installation Speaking in Tongues
during the 57th Venice Art Biennale at the chapel of San Gallo, Venice.
