From 18 November 2025, identity verification becomes a legal requirement. T=
his date is not a deadline, it marks the start of a 12-month transition per=
iod, giving your company time to make sure all directors and people with si=
gnificant control (PSCs) have verified their identity by their due dates.

There are 2 ways to verify your identity for Companies House:
1. Using the Verify your identity for Companies House: https://www.gov.uk/g=
uidance/verify-your-identity-for-companies-house service.
This service uses GOV.=E2=80=8BUK One Login to verify your identity.
GOV.=E2=80=8BUK One Login will ask you a few simple questions to work out t=
he best way for you to verify your identity online. The options available m=
ay depend on your device, whether you have photo ID, and the type of ID you=
have.
If you have a UK photo card driving licence, UK passport or a non-UK biomet=
ric passport and access to a smartphone, you can verify your identity using=
an app. This is the quickest way to verify your identity.
2. Using an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).
You can ask an ACSP to verify your identity on your behalf =E2=80=93 for ex=
