Dear Matt and Rory,
Good to talk to both of you today.
I am very pleased about the prospect of Malvern Theatres creating a
permanent exhibition of digital art and I will do anything that is
required to ensure that it is a success.
It seems obvious to me theatre companies are a natural fit for video art,
having both the means to display the work and the vision to adopt new
ideas.
The work will be exposed to new audiences who will undoubtedly be unaware
of the existence of video art and who will be of the demographic who may
purchase such work in the future.
I am very happy to provide my work gratis with the hope that we can
attract other artists to exhibit in the future and that we provide a
prominent platform to advertise Sedition Art.
I would propose the following:
* The screens are all 4k.
* The screens are installed in a mixture of landscape and portrait
formats or are fitted with rotatable mounts.
* The video server to provide either a single work looping or a
programmed sequence of a number of different works.
* The server to provide a unique feed to each screen.
* A physical means of displaying the artist's name, description of
the work and information of Sedition Art.
* Each exhibition runs for 6 weeks.
* Each exhibition is curated by someone with the suitable skills, I
would be happy to help at the start.
* All efforts are made to ensure that the exhibition continues with
energy for many years and exhibiting there is an important part of a video
artist's biography.
I look forward to hearing both of your thoughts on this project.
