The husband and wife co-founders of a drink start-up say it=E2=80=99s impo=
rtant to let their brand brew a little before trying to hit the shelves of=
supermarkets.

D]) =2C Andy Deeley and Emily Fitch-Deeley are successfully selling to con=
sumers via UK foodservice distributor channels=2C hotels=2C bars and resta=
urants and also direct on Amazon and their website=2C alongside their grow=
th in export markets.
FITCH is attempting to take on the soft drinks industry by producing its o=
wn blend of ready-to-drink cold brew teas and coffees=2C brewing with real=
coffee grounds and tea leaves in the process to result in great function=
and flavour.
But the founders say they=E2=80=99re consciously biding their time and bui=
lding up their following before trying to land deals with big retailers.
Andy said:
=E2=80=9CLongevity is key for us. We=E2=80=99ve seen companies go into sup=
ermarkets and then crash out again. You must build brand equity with consu=
mers first. If this isn=E2=80=99t there=2C they won=E2=80=99t buy it and i=
t=E2=80=99ll get delisted. You may then be in a worse position than when y=
ou started."
