**1,000 free image uploads, and the launch of Photocrowd credits**
Hi,
I=E2=80=99m writing to announce a couple of major changes in the way that y=
our free Photocrowd Crowd tier membership works, which have just launched o=
n the site.
**High-res image uploads increased to 1,000**
From today, your image upload limit will be lifted from 50 images to 1,000 =
images. We want you to be able to make Photocrowd the home for your best wo=
rk, and this change will allow you to do that in an ad-free environment, wh=
ere your data and privacy is respected, forever.
We will be following this up later in the year with the launch of our iOS a=
nd Android mobile apps, and a bunch of new image management tools to help y=
ou organise and display your images on Photocrowd.=C2=A0
All of these will be free to access.
**Changes to contest access**
We have also launched a credits-based currency on the platform, and those c=
redits can be used to enter images into contests.
All contests will now require credits in order to enter them, effectively r=
emoving free access to contests for Crowd tier members.
You get credits either by becoming a paid subscriber, which will give you s=
ome credits every month, or buying a credit bundle. You can explore all of =

**Launch offer - upgrade in the next month and get double your first month'=
s credits**
As this is a major change to how Photocrowd works, we want to ease the tran=
sition for you, and we=E2=80=99re doing that in two ways:

you'll get double the credits in the first month, and those bonus credits =

**Why we have made this change**
Every site such as ours needs to make difficult decisions about what to off=
er for free, and what to ask its users to pay for, so that the site and its=
development can be funded.
We're focussed on building a lot more great, free functionality for uploadi=
ng, mnaging and sharing your images, across all your devices, and=C2=A0***w=
ithout adverts.***
The difficult trade off we've opted for is to make contests the thing that =
you need to pay to get involved with, but=C2=A0which still remain extremely=
affordable, and great value for what is provided.
We appreciate that these changes will remove something from you that you=E2=
=80=99ve been enjoying for free, but we hope you=E2=80=99ll choose to stick=
with Photocrowd as we continue to improve the experience for the whole com=
munity.
