Hi Sarah
I would like both Graham and Christine to do a sales call to one our
enquirers prior to the face to face interview tomorrow at 8.20pm and
8.40pm respectively tomorrow evening.
Could you please organise this with them.
They would need to a) be available and b) be ready to take the call.
So the enquirer (a widowed man called Charles) will 'ringing them back'
(as if they were working for us and had left a message for this
enquirer) for them to then do our sales pitch based on Charles having
received our brochure. They would need to be familiar with our prices
(and what is the difference between each level of service we offer) and
be ready to deal with any objections Charles might have (like the price,
or the length of term of membership), or worries he has (like where
other members live - and the fact that they wont all be local), the fact
he's nervous and has never done anything like this before. I'd obviously
hope they would close the deal and get the sale (not obvioulsy taking
card details but getting to the point where they have convinced him to
buy and he's ready to give his card details). All our sales people use
our website to take payment details so they don't need to know anything
on the payment side other than what the general public see

<p>I would like both Graham and Christine to do a sales call to one
our enquirers prior to the face to face interview tomorrow at
8.20pm and 8.40pm respectively tomorrow evening.</p>
<p>Could you please organise this with them.</p>
<p>They would need to a) be available and b) be ready to take the
call. <br>
</p>
<p>So the enquirer (a widowed man called Charles) will 'ringing them
back' (as if they were working for us and had left a message for
this enquirer) for them to then do our sales pitch based on
Charles having received our brochure. They would need to be
familiar with our prices (and what is the difference between each
level of service we offer) and be ready to deal with any
objections Charles might have (like the price, or the length of
term of membership), or worries he has (like where other members
live - and the fact that they wont all be local), the fact he's
nervous and has never done anything like this before. I'd
obviously hope they would close the deal and get the sale (not
obvioulsy taking card details but getting to the point where they
have convinced him to buy and he's ready to give his card
details). All our sales people use our website to take payment
details so they don't need to know anything on the payment side
other than what the general public see</p>

go forward with
your help in
recruiting
someone to fill
our marketing
role.</p>
<p>We need someone
who has actually
<b>done </b>the
job (or who
wants to learn
how to do it -
like someone
just from
college perhaps)
not someone who
has <i>managed
</i>others doing
it - and really
doesn't know how
to do it
themselves.</p>
<p>Also someone
who knows that
results can be
got quickly (as
they can, as I
know from doing
it for 20 years)
and that they
will be judged
pretty quickly
on their
results.</p>
<p>They'll be a
warm personality
- that can build
trust with
others quickly
and easily. <br>
</p>
<p>They will
understand that
we are small
business with
pretty limited
resources. And
that primarily
THEY will be the
key resource in
terms of getting
the results (ie
they won't have
a significant
marketing budget
to play with!)</p>
<p>I envisage the
job being very
desk and phone
orientated. As
I've put in the
attached
document they'll
be growing an
ever expanding
database of
people and
organisations
that we can
mail/speak to
who will
publicise
friends1st in
'most likely'
non digital
channels. It'll
be about
building this
database and
building their
relationships
with key people
in all these
organisations.
It's not a
difficult job
and may well
suit a young
graduate. As
ever
personality,
character and
attitude is
probably more
important than
previous
roles/skills.</p>
<p>Ideally they'll
be a Christian -
with therefore
an understanding
of Christian
people and
places (like
churches, summer
conferences/events, Christian radio stations etc) but this isn't
essential -
though I'd
rather not teach
this bit!</p>
<p>Salary range
likely to be
from £18 - £20k<br>
</p>
<p>This might suit
a part timer -
say 2 or 3 days
a week.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I am also
looking for a
sales role - to
sell memberships
to our
enquirers. A
very different
role requiring
excellent
communication
skills. I have
attached job
spec. This is
highly
confidential at
this point so
please DO NOT

- but I would
appreciate a
