Position Description:
JOB TITLE: Supplier Development Specialist The Purchase department sits
within the Programme Purchase group. This team are charged with
delivering the Prototype Cost Targets on future model programmes. This
requires working closely with our associates in many operational
functions, but principally Engineering, Production Purchase, and
Finance. The role will require a high degree of confidence, self-drive,
and commitment. You will need to be creative and help develop,
implement, and maintain processes and procedures for the Prototype
Purchase department. The role will focus on the development of a cross
functional low volume supplier network and will require a close working
relationship with a number of key stakeholders across the business.

Skills Required:

Strong levels of drive and determination to work in a changing

Strong business acumen. ¿ Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
¿ Able to manage projects on time. ¿ Ability to adapt and change plans

management programmes. ¿ JLR Commodity and Supplier knowledge. ¿
Experience of supplier development. ¿ Experience of cross functional

Experience Required:
-Execution of Supplier Development Strategy and introduce a best in
class supplier development model. -Lead continuous improvement
programme. -Introduce relevant measurable KPI¿s and supplier evaluation
criteria. -Develop long term relationships with key suppliers. -Support
technical negotiations with suppliers. -Ensure self and suppliers are
undertaking 'best practice' to minimise prototype costs. -Provide
coaching/ support to PD engineers and Purchase buyers. -Maintain and
meet/exceed departmental objectives. -Develop and refine Prototype
Purchase processes and procedures.

Ideally qualified to degree level (or equivalent) and/or have a
