Updated guidance on Job Retention Scheme
Following the Government=E2=80=99s further detail on the Job Retention Sch=
eme (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/claim-for-wage-costs-through-the-coronavi=
rus-job-retention-scheme) which will include agency workers=2C we have upd=
ated our guidance for members and have answered the common questions being=

Call to banks to behave responsibly
Data from our most recent survey has painted a picture of demands for pers=
onal guarantees=2C offers of alternative loans to the Government backed Bu=
siness Interruption Loan (CBIL) and inflated interest rates=2C all of whic=
h go against the intention of the Government scheme. We are feeding this=
information into Government and also launched a press campaign to highlig=
ht this over the weekend. This has had national coverage this morning and=
is likely to be covered extensively in the recruitment and business press=
during the course of the day. We have pointed out that the banks have to=
be made to take a responsible approach so that firms can get access to th=
