The offerings from Burgundy producer Domaine Talmard have always proved 
delicious, great value and exceptionally popular, with their Mâcon Uchizy 
being one of our biggest selling white wines. It's so popular in fact that 
we've once again sold out their current vintage with the next release still 
a little way off, leaving us with an unwelcome gap.

Thankfully to bridge that gap we've shipped a parcel of their delicious 2024 
Mâcon-Chardonnay that will arrive with us on Wednesday, and we've squeeze a 
heck of a deal out of them to boot. A deal where I can offer you this today 
at £174/case (£14.50/bottle) or stock up (as you really should) with 3 or 
more cases @ £168/case (£14/bottle) for a limited time.

This delicious un-oaked chardonnay is an absolute delight; from its summer 
blossom and stone fruit aromas through to a palate laden with elegant white 
peach, orchard fruit, subtle creamy mouthfeel and zippy dry finish, it's the 
perfect 'go-to' white Burgundy.

My Notes | Re-Tasted (this morning in fact)

A lovely pale golden sheen greets you in the glass, immediately suggesting 
that there's likely to be a little texture and complexity to follow. A 
generous swish releases a medley of summer blossom and exotic fruit aromas; 
white peach, a touch of dried apricot and citrus fruit, perhaps a hint of 
pineapple too, all beckoning you in for a taste.

And when you do taste, the palate delivers a wave of deliciously ripe 
stone-fruit and citrus notes, leading towards a lightly honied mid-palate, 
before returning to a further citrus zippiness that cleanses the palate, 
giving a real sense of purity and freshness. As the citrus subsides there's 
a slightly creamy texture which is then accompanied by subtle pineapple 
notes which hold nicely on the finish.

There's no oak here, so that texture and subtle creaminess is the result of 
a little extra time resting on the lees in tank before bottling.

This is an immensely drinkable white Burgundy, you'd struggle to find anyone 
who doesn't enjoy sipping on this under the summer sun, but that touch of 
texture, intensity of fruit and crisp palate will hold up brilliantly at the 
dinner table too.
