Following on from Victoria. I have received this this morning.
Can you check it out with manager and make sure its ok. I know that's
she's had a personal problem with her son this week which has set back a
lot of her plans.
Nothing is ever simple at the moment.
"Please explain to Jaguar that my week has not gone to plan at all. This
week was always going to be busy because I'm at a critical point in my
current contract. Unfortunately, my son was not well on Monday so I lost a
day. Having worked through things this week, I think I'm going to need a
final few days to get them to a good place before I commit additional time
to Jaguar.
To start all parties in a good place, I propose if acceptable to JLR, that
we just delay the start date by an additional week to Monday 18th Nov. I
know when I spoke to Sarah Lamber (hiring manager), she was not overly
concerned about an immediate start.
If starting on 18th Nov, I propose I would work 3 days that week and build
up to 4 days as we agreed with them once my current contract comes to an
end which should be within next 2-3 weeks. Propose Monday, Tuesday and
Wednesday unless they have another preference."
She has also said:
At an absolute push if they insist on me starting next week, I could aim
for Wednesday 13th and would be working 2 days that week, 13th and 14th
Nov.
