I can't do anything this week as I've already ran payroll. I also have to
wait for HMRC notification before I can change a tax code.
If you have received a letter it means there will be one on its way to me.
I have your NI number as NJ425006C. If this is correct they certainly have
made an error. Its common with the inland revenue. If we make mistakes we
get heavily fined (very far and few between) If they make errors there is
never and apollogy
Could it be your surname that is confusing them I have you as Dr A Jorbran

I received this morning my tax code notice from HM Revenue and Customs.
Looks like my tax code is 1257L , so I would greatly appreciate if you can
update it from your side and see if I paid too much tax while on the 1257L
W1 code.
It is very weird- the national insurance number on the letter is wrong and
non existent- 68 Z2 23 52
I don't want to have any trouble as if I didn't pay my national insurance
although I see on the payslips the NI number there is correct. I rang them
just in case and they said they don't have me in their records at all and
asked me to update them with my employer's PAYE ref number and work number
(payroll number/employee number) so they can correct it all.
I would greatly appreciate your help.
