Hi

I spoke to Sue earlier and she explained that as its changing everyday, she 
couldn't answer the question about my pay.

What i need to know is, am i going to be paid 80% of my wage until i return 
to Thwates as I'm sure you will appreciate  that i cannot take an answer of, 
we will TRY and pay you the same.

I have a family and bills to pay like everyone else going through this and 
need to know where i stand regarding this issue.

Hope you understand my concerns

had decided as a company to close down the factory for a period of three 
weeks with full pay. They have now decided due to operational needs to 
furlough all of their workers.



Furlough generally is a period of time off paid / unpaid but still retained

situation has calmed and things get back to normal they would like you to

Coronavirus Job Protection Scheme, which is set up to help protect both 
individuals and businesses against the economic downturn the pandemic has 
caused.  You may be wondering what this means for you. Thwaites has taken 
the decision to put you on this until further notice.



These guidelines are changing daily and at present we may be able to get 80% 
of your salary through the government portal / job protection scheme. This 
will not come into effect until the end of April / start of May at the 
earliest and can be backdated to the 1st April 2020.

I know that these are difficult times for everybody but hopefully we will 
come out of this all at the end. We will keep you up to date as the
