1981 Château Margaux


Initially restrained and gently tertiary, this 1981 Château Margaux opens 
beautifully with time in the glass. Earthy notes of woodsmoke, black tea and 
leather give way to classic Margaux perfume — violets, mint and spice — 
before revealing remarkably pure cassis fruit of impressive depth and 
freshness. After 20–30 minutes, it truly comes alive: elegant, layered and a

Immediately expressive and richly perfumed, the 1982 Haut-Brion shows
