shipped the last of Château Malaire 2009 direct from the Château. And
because we expect demand to be high, we expect this to soon be the end of
the 2009 vintage.
Good drinking-claret from the legendary 2009 vintage - widely considered
with 2010, the best Bordeaux vintages since 1961 - has all but disappeared

Here is our tasting note:
A showy, voluptuous claret - very clearly from a warm, expressive vintage,
but still with striking freshness and fine balance. Bright, luscious cassis
fruit, and a touch of cedar and subtle spice - classically Médoc with good
texture, and fine-grained tannins. Good winemaking at work here - not
overcooked, given the vintage, and very stylish. Flavours continually expand
an evolve. This is a classy Médoc.
All in all, a high quality, mature claret from a great vintage - and
something of a bargain.
