National rail services from St Pancras International station
This weekend, there will be no East Midlands Railway (EMR) service between
St Pancras International and Luton, and no Thameslink service between Mill
Hill Broadway and Luton.
For Luton Airport and train connections from Luton towards Bedford and EMR
destinations in the East Midlands and Yorkshire, use alternative trains from
King's Cross to Hitchin. Change there for replacement buses. There will also
be local replacement buses running between St Pancras and Luton.

For Dalston Kingsland, use alternative London Overground services or local
bus route 30 from Highbury & Islington. For Shadwell and Wapping, use local
bus route D3 from Whitechapel. For Rotherhithe, use local bus routes C10 or
381 from Canada Water or Bermondsey.
Rail replacement buses will run between Dalston Kingsland and New Cross Gate
via Tower Gateway, and between Canada Water and Clapham Junction.
This is due to Network Rail track work.
Monday 17 until Wednesday 19 March
No service between New Cross Gate and Crystal Palace/West Croydon after
23:00 each night
Use local bus routes. A Southern Railway replacement bus service will depart
from London Bridge at 23:58 to Streatham Hill (via Crystal Palace), and from
London Bridge at 00:36 to East Croydon (via Norwood Junction). This is due
to Network Rail maintenance work.
Elizabeth line
The following closures are due to HS2 and Thames Valley works.
Saturday 15 March
Last train from Heathrow T5 (00:07) will terminate at Ealing Broadway
Sunday 16 March
No service between Paddington and Ealing Broadway until 07:45
Use alternative Tube services or local bus routes.
Monday 17 until Wednesday 19 March
Reduced service between Paddington and Heathrow/Maidenhead after 22:00 each
night
Trains will depart and terminate at Paddington national rail platforms.
DLR
Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 March
No service between Canary Wharf and Stratford
Use the Jubilee line or local bus routes. This is due to KeolisAmey
Docklands maintenance works.
Buses and roads
Bus journeys will be affected by the following changes over the weekend. We
expect to run a good service, but buses may be delayed, diverted or stop
short of their normal destination.
Thursday 13 March
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Stamford Bridge
From 18:00 until 22:00, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Stamford Bridge will
each host a football match, with kick off at 20:00. Large crowds and
increased traffic levels are expected around both stadiums.
Friday 14 March
Central London
From 15:00 on Friday until 07:00 the following morning, a charity walk will
take place through central London on pavements only. Large crowds are
expected.
Friday 14 into Saturday 15, and Saturday 15 into Sunday 16 March
Blackwall Tunnel
Blackwall Tunnel will have directional closures on the following dates and
times:
* From 23:59 on Friday 14 until 05:00 on Saturday 15 March, Blackwall Tunnel
will be closed southbound
* From 23:59 on Saturday 15 until 05:00 on Sunday 16 March, Blackwall Tunnel
will be closed northbound
Bus services will be unaffected during the southbound closure.
From 22:00 on Saturday, bus route 108 will not cross the river and instead
will operate as two services, terminating/starting at Canning Town and North
Greenwich. Use the Jubilee line to cross the river. Services will return to
their normal line of route when the tunnel reopens.
This is for essential maintenance work and work to support the opening of
Silvertown Tunnel

O2 Arena
From 18:30 until 22:30, the O2 Arena will host a music event each night.
Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected before and after each
event.
Sunday 16 March
Central London
From 05:00 until 23:00, there will be various road closures and restrictions
in place from Hyde Park to Whitehall via Piccadilly, St James's Street, Pall
Mall and Cockspur Street for an annual parade. Large crowds and increased
traffic levels are expected.
From 09:00 until 11:00, there will be short traffic holds outside the MI6
building for filming. Increased traffic levels are expected.
Throughout the day, Tower Bridge will be closed for periods or have short
traffic holds for filming. Use alternative river crossings London Bridge or
Rotherhithe Tunnel (Rotherhithe Tunnel has height and weight restrictions

From 11:00 until 14:00, a wreath-laying service will take place on Horse
Guards Road. Large crowds are expected.
From 12:00 until 18:00, an annual cultural event will take place at
Trafalgar Square. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected.
Wembley Stadium
From 14:30 until 19:00, Wembley Stadium will host a football match, with
kick off at 16:30. Large crowds and increased traffic levels are expected
before and after the match, with local road closures in place around the
stadium.
Sunday 16 March until mid-June
Gallows Corner
There will be a series of temporary lane closures in place at Gallows Corner
junction on the A127 Southend Arterial Road and A12 Eastern Avenue,
approaching and leaving the roundabout. This will reduce the roads from two
lanes to one.
During this period all routes will remain open, including the Gallows Corner
flyover. Temporary footway diversions will be in place.
Approach roads and local roads will be very busy during the works.
Significant queues and delays are expected. Journeys made before 07:30 and
after 19:00 may experience less disruption.
This is the first step of works to renew and strengthen the ageing Gallows
Corner flyover so the major structure can continue to serve Londoners
reliably.
From mid-June until September, Gallows Corner Junction - both roundabout and
flyover - will be closed to all traffic except emergency vehicles and buses
for flyover replacement works. There will be local diversion routes for
traffic and temporary walking route diversions in place.

During this period all routes will remain open, =
including the Gallows Corner flyover. Temporary footway diversions will =
be in place. <br>

Approach roads and local roads will be very busy during =

This is the first step of works to renew and strengthen =
the ageing Gallows Corner flyover so the major structure can continue to =
serve Londoners reliably. <br>
