This is a reminder that on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June we will be
updating part of the Metropolitan line signalling system, as part of the
next phase of the Four Lines Modernisation Programme (4LM)

. This work will introduce the new signalling system between Finchley Road
and Preston Road, making journeys faster and more reliable.
The update will mean there are planned closures on the Circle, District,
Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. Check our Status Updates

page and select the dates above for full details of the planned closures and
rail replacement buses that will be in operation. We apologise for any
inconvenience.
Temporary timetable changes
To help us embed the new signalling system, between Monday 2 and Thursday 5
June only, there will be changes to the Metropolitan line timetable,
including fewer peak hour services operating across the line and changes to
usual train times throughout the day.
Also from Monday 2 June, fast and semi-fast services on the Metropolitan
line will need to pause for several seconds in the Preston Road area while
drivers switch between signalling systems. This will not impact on journey
times. The switching between signalling systems will continue until the next
phase of the upgrade is implemented in about a year's time.
From Friday 6 June the summer timetable, which came into effect on Monday 14
April, will resume.

This is a reminder that on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June we =
will be updating part of the Metropolitan line signalling system, as =

(4LM)</a>. This work will introduce the new signalling system =
between Finchley Road and Preston Road, making journeys faster and more =

The update will mean there are planned closures on the Circle, =
District, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan and Jubilee lines. Check =

<u><b>Temporary timetable changes</b></u><br>
<br>
To help us embed the new signalling system, between Monday 2 and =
Thursday 5 June only, there will be changes to the Metropolitan line =
timetable, including fewer peak hour services operating across the line =
and changes to usual train times throughout the day.<br>
<br>
Also from Monday 2 June, fast and semi-fast services on the =
Metropolitan line will need to pause for several seconds in the Preston =
Road area while drivers switch between signalling systems. This will not =
impact on journey times. The switching between signalling systems will =
continue until the next phase of the upgrade is implemented in about a =
year's time.<br>
<br>
From Friday 6 June the summer timetable, which came into effect on =
Monday 14 April, will resume.<br>
