Yes I'm happy for this to go ahead.

As i said to Sue, i really appreciate what you have done for me under the 
circumstances  I have been extremely stressed by the whole situation as i 
feel through no fault of my own, i have lost a good job and a good income 
and the system doesn't want to know.
So let me make it clear that I'm sincerely appreciative of what you have 
done for me.

It’s not as plain as the media would like you to think. Your contract has 
actually finished with Thwaites who cannot commit to taking you back on in 
the future. The furlough scheme is meant for a return to work with Thwaites. 
Which you will not be in this instant.

I also want to make you aware that this is at a cost to us and is not as 
simple as a bit of extra paperwork. Firstly we have other employees who are 
also on furlough along with our own staff so we are running on a skeleton 
team at present and still have to pay for payroll to be processed and 
payslips to be processed. We also get charged for borrowing money from our 
lenders to pay salaries up front. The government furlough scheme is not paid 
until over 1 month from the day you are furloughed. Which means that we have 
to pay salary and Employers NI up front also. It also includes payments to 
the HMRC who will charge us up to 25% if we make a late payment of PAYE 
before we even get any support from the furlough scheme.

We are not getting any income from this as you must be aware and for this to 
carry on for a specific we could be shutting our doors in the future for 
good.



If you can confirm that you are happy with this we can get things in place. 
I just need to confirm what day the Furlough will start.
